OUR JOURNEY
From a young age, I have always had a passion for sports, particularly rugby, with the dream of playing for England. At seven, I attended Aldro Prep School in Surrey until I was 13, before moving to Lord Wandsworth College in Hampshire. Between the ages of six and 18, I played rugby for my childhood club, Guildford RFC, which provided me with the opportunity to be selected for Surrey U18s. At Lord Wandsworth, I represented the 1st Teams for cricket, squash, and rugby, and played golf at Hankley Common Golf Club with a 10.8 handicap. Sport was always my focus and there was always an excuse to find any spare time of the day to practice.

After finishing at Lord Wandsworth College, I travelled to New Zealand at 18 to play rugby for six months with Ashley RFC in Christchurch. During this time, I played for North Canterbury, where I received the U19 Player of the Year award, and was also selected for Canterbury Country. Upon returning to the UK, I continued with Surrey U20s and was subsequently selected for England Counties U20s, making my international debut at 19 in two matches against Georgia U20s. Following this, my head coach at Guildford RFC, Dave Ward (Harlequins and England International), provided me with the opportunity to trial with the Cornish Pirates in Cornwall. To embark on this two-week trial, I had to quit my full-time job despite the uncertainty. Thankfully, the trial was successful, marking the beginning of my professional rugby career with the Cornish Pirates. After two amazing years in Cornwall, playing with and learning from the best in the sport, I relocated to Buckinghamshire and continued my semi-professional career with Chinnor RFC for six years.

During my time at Chinnor RFC, I began my teaching career at Ashfold School, a leading Independent Preparatory School in Buckinghamshire, where my passion for coaching young children emerged. Over six years, I worked my way up to Head of Boys' Sport and began my Bachelor of Science in Sports, Fitness, and Coaching at the Open University. This six-year part-time program was completed while juggling full-time work and my semi-professional rugby career. Additionally, I earned Level 2 coaching qualifications in cricket and rugby and participated in numerous Independent Coaching Education courses to enhance my knowledge in tennis, swimming, athletics, and hockey.

Coaching young children to help them grow in confidence and pursue their passion for sport is something I am very passionate about. This passion led me to establish BHSports, where I have run over 50 sports camps, children's birthday parties, and specialised coaching sessions for children of all abilities, from as young as six years old to adults. Initially, my focus was on one-to-one and small group rugby coaching sessions, but it expanded to delivering sports camps specialising in many sports such as cricket, rugby, football, hockey, swimming, tennis, and athletics.

Unfortunately, in 2019, my playing career came to an end due to a back injury, which forced me to retire. Following my retirement, I was appointed Club Captain for two years, where I helped reconnect Chinnor’s Senior squads with the Minis, Juniors, Supporters, and the wider community. After an enjoyable six years at Ashfold, my family and I relocated to Dorset, where I am currently Head of Boys' Sport at Clayesmore Preparatory School, one of the best British Independent boarding schools in Dorset. I was given the opportunity to restart BHSports at Clayesmore School, where I now run a variety of sports camps and specialised training sessions during the school holidays.

My journey has been guided by a deep love and passion for sport, which has provided me with many opportunities, including the startup of my sports coaching business. I am dedicated to inspiring and helping others on their journey to achieve their dreams, just as I once had as a child.
